In this guide you will learn how to import certificates into the Microsoft Windows Local Machine Certificate Store
Step 1. Enter Start | Run | MMC
Step 2. Click on File | Add/Remove Snap-in ….
Step 3. In the Add or Remove Snap-ins window, select Certificates and click on the Add button.
Step 4. Select the Computer Account radio button when prompted and click on Next
Step 5. Select Local Computer (selected by default) and click on Finish.
Step 6. Back in the Add or Remove Snap-ins window, click OK.
Step 7. In the MMC main console, click on the plus (+) symbol to expand the Certificate snap-in.
Step 8. Navigate to Personal | Certificates pane. Right-click within the Certificates panel and click on All Tasks | Import to start the Certificate Import Wizard.
Step 9. Follow the wizard to import the signed certificate along with the private key. The certificate file must be in a container format having both the end user certificate and its private key. For example, the PKCS#12 format with extensions .pfx or .p12
